Sidney, Ohio – Mutual Federal, A division of First Bank Richmond is proud to announce that Dean W. Weinert was awarded the Triangle of Honor Award by the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA on Thursday, October 19, 2023. The award, established in 2008, is considered the highest honor given by the organization to individuals who exemplify excellence through a record of innovative, inspirational, and highly successful leadership in support of the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA. Mr. Weinert was recognized by his peers for his contributions and admired for his service and impact made to the local organization over his career.

The Sidney-Shelby County YMCA is the hub of community activity and the recognized leader in lifelong health and wellness where children are nurtured through character development, teens are empowered, families grow stronger and older adults are engaged. The concept of the Triangle of Honor Award originated from the design created by the YMCA of the USA, which emphasizes the Triangle as a symbol representing the founding principles of developing a strong spirit, mind, and body for all.

DeanW-640x720“I sincerely believe that the YMCA's mission represents a critical and essential element within the very fabric of our local community.  This is not only by providing specific healthy living opportunities for all ages, ranging from infants to senior citizens, in a safe, caring, and supportive environment.  The YMCA has also continued to play an even more important and more critical role through its abilities to actually change lives and directly impact the overall quality of life in our own community through the many learning, mentoring, counseling, and friendship nurturing aspects that it embodies.  I have always felt that it should be my duty and my responsibility as a local businessperson within this community to fully support and ensure the success of this incredibly important YMCA mission in any way that I can, by giving back to the community that has so graciously supported our own business efforts.”

-Dean W. Weinert, President, Mutual Federal
